A Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is a community-based health care provider that receives federal funding to offer primary care services in underserved areas. FQHCs provide comprehensive health care regardless of a patient’s ability to pay, often offering services on a sliding fee scale. They aim to improve access to care for low-income, uninsured, and medically underserved populations.
